Today weather is probably one of the best weather apps you can find for any android device. Has an amazing design with all the data you would ever need regarding the weather. As I said the UI is great, shows current temp, humidity, Uv index, visibility along with a short description.
In the app, if you scroll down you can see detailed hourly and daily forecasts. I also like the charts created for the data points. Down below there’s more info about pollen count, moon phase but the feature that I love is radar. It lets you see temperature, rain and other values overlayed in a map. You can use the slider to see the changes happening in future as well. Really good feature, makes planning trips much easier. Lastly, there’s an option to choose between different data sources including dark sky. There’s a variety of widgets too to match any need and allows customization to change the colour, icon. This app provides a lot of value.
Sesame shortcuts
Sesame shortcuts is a powerful universal search for android and it can change the way you use your phone. it is a really fast way to search over various apps. Web search, play store app search, a song in Spotify, contacts. After you type a keyword, you can choose which app to launch the search from. The right way to use it would be to place a widget on your home screen and use it for everything. After you start using it you will not want to go back. It also integrates with nova launcher so all searches in the nova launcher will be powered by sesame shortcuts
Nova Launcher 7
If you don’t know, nova launcher 7 is in beta and available for you to download. Nova 7 brings an updated modern UI with some enhanced features while still offering the same level of customization as before. Allows you to change the home screen layout, Icon size, hide labels, change a number of icons in the dock, add multiple dock pages, change folder style, chose swipe up and swipe down the action for apps and folders in the home screen. and the list just goes on. This neat app provides you with more control over the refresh rate of your screen. You can set the maximum refresh rate you want the phone to be and also enable 120hz when the phone is in power-saving mode. It also provides screen off mods that is intended to save battery by having the lowest hz in Always on Display mode, enabling power-saving mode when the screen is off. You will also see two toggle options in the quick settings panel to chose the refresh rate and resolution, you can get them low to save battery in your phone.
Package disabler pro
Samsung phone comes with a lot of bloatware installed, there is no way to completely uninstall them you can disable them so that it is unaccessible which is close to uninstalling. Open this app, click disabled all bloatware and it will disable all the stuff that you don’t want including Bixby. There is no way Bixby is ever showing up again on this phone. I suppose this will also help in battery life as non of those services will ever run again.
